old berber pot medium #7
Details
What a unique piece:
These vessels were created by the hands of the beautiful Berber women of the Rif Mountains in the North of Morocco. The pottery is made from local clay and burnt in an open fire. The geometric patterns are delicately hand painted and inspired by old rock art.
Since they didn’t have refrigeration, these clay urns were traditionally used to store and preserve multiple food items such as olives, dates, sugar, spices.
Due to their weight and fragility, we only ship these pots on small pallets.
This is an old product, so signs of age and usage are not an expression of errors or defects, but underline the original character of the product.
