This beautiful tribal chair is carved from one piece of wood and traditionally reserved for the village chief. It is characterized by its three legs and its high back, which is carved in a traditional geometric design or has a back in a hammered look.
The Gurage are one of the largest ethnic groups in Ethiopia and live mainly in the western highlands and in the south of the country.
