This traditionally handmade cushion cover from the Kuba tribe in the Congo is probably one of the most impressive examples of African art. It is not about new products made in the traditional way, but about really old pieces! Therefore, traces of use are more than likely, but testify to the original character of these wonderful pillowcases.
Kuba fabric is woven from the fibers of the Raphia Vinifera palm.
The cushions consist of hand-woven strips of bast fabric with hand-decorated details and hand-sewn decoration.
Dimensions: 60 cm x 60 cm
