Beautiful original Kuba cloth made of palm leaves with geometric motifs.
The Kingdom of Cuba, now the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was founded in the 17th century. Composed of more than 17 ethnic groups, it expanded thanks to the alliance between these different groups.
Kuba fabrics form the basis of royal attire. Kuba cloth skirts are worn by both men and women during ceremonial rituals. Fabric patterns vary by gender.
The fabric expresses the status of wealth, hierarchy and personal states of transition.
