Old but beautifully preserved wicker container.
In the past, clay or leather paste was applied to make the jugs watertight. Over time, the paste has cracked, creating a unique patina on the surface.
The containers were formerly used in China to store vinegar or oil, probably for lamps. Beautifully decorated with flowering branches!
