The Chinese storage vessel “Cizhou” was used to store wine and traditionally painted with caramel glazes on a cream-colored background with various patterns around the egg-shaped body. This type of vessels has been made in China since the 10th century (Song Dynasty).
We love the individual beauty in shape, color and pattern: every vessel tells its own story. Imperfections in glaze and porcelain due to use and age are not considered as flaws, but an expression of authenticity and uniqueness.
The Cizhou wine vessels will be shipped on pallet only due to their value and fragility.
