This traditionally handmade cushion cover from the Kuba tribe in the Congo is probably one of the most impressive examples of African art.
Kuba fabric is woven from the fibers of the Raphia Vinifera palm.
The cushions consist of hand-woven strips of bast fabric with hand-decorated details and hand-sewn decorations.
