These cushion covers are handcrafted from recycled sailcloth on the island of Lamu in Kenya.

These cloths, called thongs, come from dhows, the typical sailing boats in Kenya. Fishermen sew cushions and bags from these cloths and then paint them with a wide variety of motifs. Waterproof, washable at 40 degrees.
