Beautiful, huge basket made from old wicker, simply exceptional because of its impressive size and the particularly still visible Chinese lettering.
The baskets were once used in China to store vinegar or oil, probably for lamps. An applied loam or leather paste protected the baskets from water. Over time, the paste has cracked and a unique patina has developed on the surface.

Pallet/freight forwarder shipping
We ship large, heavy, and/or fragile items on pallets or via freight forwarding (with prior notice, free curbside delivery) as standard within Germany, as well as to Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Austria. Other countries are available upon request.
