This impressive lamp consists of two pieces:
The lamp base is made from a heavy antique clay pot (approximately from 1700) from Erzurum, Turkey. These kinds of pots were once used for holding molasses, cheese and butter. They were made by nomadic people and left behind when they migrated to different locations. The material of the large lampshade is black chintz.
