This traditional farmer’s hat from southern China was crafted around 1900 and used in everyday life over many years. Woven from bamboo, it has developed an exceptional patina over time.
The surface reveals deep, earthy tones interspersed with warm, irregular flecks of colour. These natural variations give the object an almost graphic quality.
With a diameter of approx. 60 cm, the hat unfolds a calm, self-contained presence when displayed on the wall. Reduced in form yet rich in character, it connects its handcrafted origins with a strong visual quality.
