Hand-shaped earthenware vessel from Inner Mongolia, c1910.
Originally made as a functional storage jar for everyday rural use. The dark glazed surface, irregular form, and visible traces of age make each piece unique.
The vessel has been carefully converted into a table lamp and combined with a hand-finished linen shade.
