Handcrafted in China’s Jiangsu province around 1900, this antique vessel was originally used to store rice wine.
The deep brown glaze and fine vertical lines give the object a calm, time-shaped presence. Years of use have left the surface dense and balanced, with a distinctive sense of depth.
Today, the vessel takes on a new role as a lighting object. It is paired with a handcrafted lampshade made from high-quality Belgian linen, creating a clear, restrained contrast to the ceramic and allowing the light to diffuse evenly.
