Old Chinese trunk made from woven bamboo with metal bands and hardware. An original piece from northern China, solidly built and clearly proportioned.
What immediately stands out is the surface of the bamboo: a deep Bordeaux red, noticeably less common than the natural bamboo tones usually found on trunks of this type. This rich color gives the piece its distinctive presence.
Because of its size and compact form, the trunk works particularly well as a low coffee table.
