Originale Salzblöcke aus Taoudenni im Norden Malis. Die rechteckigen Platten werden traditionell von Hand aus ehemaligen Salzlagerstätten in der Sahara gelöst und in transportfähige Form geschnitten.
Jeder Block besteht aus naturbelassenem Steinsalz und weist individuelle Farbnuancen von Weiß über Grau bis hin zu warmen, mineralischen Einschlüssen auf. Unregelmäßigkeiten, Kantenbrüche und natürliche Strukturen sind charakteristisch und unterstreichen den ursprünglichen Charakter des Materials.
Die Blöcke werden mit Seilbindungen präsentiert – eine Referenz an die historische Transportweise der Salzplatten über transsaharische Handelsrouten. Jedes Stück ist ein Unikat.
