This beautiful copper jar from Nepal is something very special. Due to the detailed pattern carved into the top of the jar, it is truly unique.
Originally they were used to catch snow to store water (some villages are far from rivers). They were also often given as a dowry. The more decorative details carved into the jars, the richer the family was.
