Bhutan, the Buddhist kingdom on the eastern edge of the Himalayas, is known for its monasteries and spectacular landscapes. But the textile industry has also achieved international renown in recent years due to its unique manufacturing technology, colors and patterns.
Bhutan's textiles combine centuries-old knowledge, individual creativity and traditional craftsmanship. They are an important pillar of culture. Weaving is passed on from one generation to the next and is based on a high level of weaving skills.
With my partner Bhutan Textiles I brought a unique collection that combines handmade products with sustainable values to Europe.
This beautiful carpet runner is hand woven with a traditional pattern. In bright orange or yellow!
Dimensions: 100 cm x 140 cm
Material: pure wool & cotton
Nice to know: each piece is unique
The aim of the EU-BHUTAN trade support project is to create an improved environment for the export of high-quality handcrafted textile products that is based on the two pillars of "exclusivity" and "sustainability" and corresponds to the Bhutan values.

In textile handicraft, the objective of the project is to increase incomes of producers and artisans, including women and youth, along the value chain. In close collaboration with the Agency for Promotion of Indigenous Crafts (APIC), the project promotes the work of +20 textile companies, designers and civil society organizations, representing +200 artisans in Bhutan.
