Diese alten Holzschiffchen stammen aus der Provinz Shandong in China. Um 1900 waren sie Teil traditioneller Webstühle und wurden über viele Jahre genutzt.

Das Holz ist dunkel und von der Zeit gezeichnet, die Oberfläche glatt vom Gebrauch. Gerade diese Spuren verleihen den Schiffchen ihre besondere Ausstrahlung.
